The summer saw me researching into the areas this project would be covering. At home production, acoustics, human perception of sound, cinema and home hi fi set ups and the psychology of mixing. These areas will help guide my project and provide a background of information into the process of production at home and what can greatly improve the process and allow for a higher level of quality. Alongside this, the research into the human perception of sound with the frequency response of human hearing for example, will allow for mixes that play to the strengths of the audience's hearing along with providing a mix that a cinema or hi fi set up can take and improve with the equalisers they posses.
